Taggart family holds reunion.
The first annual reunion of the Taggart family was an event of last Sunday held in Government Springs park. Plans for the reunion were effected last Christmas day when 16 members of the family of Joseph and Martha Taggart met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. E.(Margaret Anna) Joseph in Waukomis.
Officers are T. E. (Thomas Edward) Taggart, president, and F. K. Taggart, secretary.
On last Sunday, the appointed day, 56 persons were together for a family dinner followed by a program and talks. Joe Joseph gave an account of early days experiences in this country. Other speakers were C. M. (Charley Mansur) Taggart, W. W. (William Winfield) Taggart, Emma Taggart Baldwin of Bethany, Mo., and Bentley Taggart of Indianapolis, Ind. A reading was given by F. D. Taggart.
Those elected are Joe Ben Taggart, president; W. W. Taggart, vice-president; and Martha Mae Joseph, Secretary.
