His will (7/12/1867) left everything to his widow, Jane. No other persons were named in the will.
The marker in Union Dale cemetery is a pillar with the name Bothwell on the base. On one side is the name and dates for David. On another the same information for Jane. The third side contains the inscription: M. E. Borland and the date July 18, 1815. On the fourth side are three names with accompanying years: Frances, 1864; Harry, 1865; and Ella, 1874.
Not sure about the middle name.

Notes for Jane Unknown
Her will identified her as widow of David and mother of three daughters, Mary Elizabeth (wife of will McConnell), Caroline (wife of James Chapman) and Amanda (wife of Isaac A. Brown). No mention of any other children. However, the 1870 census lists two additonal daughters, one of whom also is in the 1880 census record.
