W. Wayne Weathers, 76, North Kansas City, MO., died at home May 13, 1999.
Mr. Weathers was born on June 7, 1922, in Harrison County. He married Phyllis E. Taggart, and worked for the Ford Motor Company for 36 years, retiring in 1984. He also worked for the U. S. government and served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Kansas City for 50 years, was active in Boy Scout , and was an original member of the North Kansas City Parks and Recreation Board. He also served on the library board and hospital board in North Kansas City.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one bother, Verle Lee Weathers.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis, a daughter, Ann; a son Philip and six granddaughters.
Funeral services were held May 17, 1999, at the First Baptist Church of North Kansas City, under the direction of the White Chapel Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of North Kansas City.
