Notes for Edward McCarthy
Edward is inconsistent in reporting his immigration data on the census forms. In 1900 he listed his immigration date as 1880; on the 1910 census as 1866, and on the 1920 census as 1880. On the 1910 census he listed his naturalization date as 1898. There is a record that an Edward McCarthy filed a naturalization petition in Pittsburgh in 1880, which may be his and could account for the discrepancies in the dates.
