In Griffith’s Valuation, listed as leasing property from William Kennedy in the townland of Beagh in Co. Monaghan. Another Bothwell, Henry, also leased land in that townland from Owen Kelly. Griffith’s also lists leases in the names of Hugh Bothwell, Roberg Gillander, and Henry Bothwell in the townland of Crosses in Co, Monaghan.
I suspect they are siblings.
Another name listed as leasing from Owen Kelly was John Gillander.
There are connections between the Gillanders families and the Bothwell families of Co. Monaghan which hint that the lines of Henry Bothwell and Hugh Bothwell line are linked.
