Walter Dorland became a medical Dr. and signed his mother's death certificate in 1912. He made a very helpful error on the death certificate, saying that Juliett's mother's maiden name was Jane Bothwell which was actually her grandmother's maiden name. Her Mother's maiden name clearly was Jane Allison. We had despaired of making sure that Bothwell was, in fact, the Grandmother's name but this clinches it for me. How would he have ever heard the name if she wasn't an important family member? Juliette was 14 when her Grandmother died in 1836 and would have known her well and worked with her and talked to her every day until she died. Besides, the Bothwell family had a flash of prominence in English history which would have meant something to those people.
